Bedtime Update

Cameron had a good evening. Full meal and some pudding for dessert. Played a little of his Switch, although he didn’t quite have the energy he usually has for it. Around 8:15, he decided it was bedtime, so the nurser helped us get unhooked from all his leads and he was able to walk into his bathroom very steadily and was able to pass urine with no problem, both very positive steps. He took his evening meds and got back into bed and passed out.

Overall, very good signs. Tolerating everything and no pain; about as good as you could expect. From what I can tell, he has a little weakness on his left hand side, mainly in his hand, which isn’t uncommon given the trauma to his right side of his brain. He had that last time as well so it’s no surprising.

Sounds like the nurse will check in every two hours since he technically is in the ICU. She’ll draw labs around 4AM, but hopefully she can just use the IV and not have to draw any blood the old-fashioned way.

Today went as well as we could have hoped for. Whether though His hand or through the staff here at PCH, we could feel God being with Cam throughout this process. The prayers and well wishes from family and friends was felt with us all day as well. Here is hoping for a smooth morning and a early discharge.
