Pre-Op Consult Done

Just spoke to Dr. Adelson about the plan for today. Should be 3-3.5 hours. Planning on 8-12 leads in his head. They are confident they are in the right area and hopefully this will further outline where the activity is coming from.

Pre-Op

He is gowned up and going through the vitals and questions that are typical.

The calm before the surgery

Cam was able to get to up and start showering. Hopefully he gets his hair real clean during.

As we were coming back from dinner last night, Cam had a big partial seizure. It still scares my Mom a bit when those happen because she’s not used to seeing them. He seemed fine but he was awful grumpy afterwards which isn’t surprising given the time and all the travel yesterday. Hopefully he’ll be in a decent mood this morning.

He has a 7AM check-in for a 9:30 surgery slot. I’ll have more updates as he get closer to that. Only two adults can be with him most of the time, with only one while he is in his recovery room. We will be juggling bodies as best we can to see him throughout the day. It’ll be better when he is in his monitoring room tomorrow when we can go back to two in the room.

Made it to Phoenix

It’s a long drive, but we made it to our hotel room, right across from the hospital. We are out eating a nice meal and then we will put Cam to bed. We have to be at the hospital at 7AM.

Prep work for Second Procedure

So Cameron has to be Covid negative before he can be admitted on a Tuesday, so we had to go to PCH Saturday morning to get a test done. It was the dum nasal one, so he didn’t care for that to be honest, but it’s done. We will only hear from the hospital if there is bad news on that.

The upshot is the my Mom flew in the day before so we went down to meet her at went out for a nice dinner beforehand to celebrate my birthday and Mother’s Day early.
